DINAGSA 2008

Villacin National High School's participation to this year's Dinagsa 2008 has become limited only to the putting up of its booth in the Agro-Industrial Fair, one of the festival activities.

VNHS in the past was joining in the yearly Dinagsa 2008 by having its Ati-Atihan and Merrymaking groups. But due to limited resources and manpower, the administration and the teachers have decided to temporarily hang its spears and shields but vows to make a comeback in the future.

Cleo Soledad, a Senior student from Villacin National High School, is joining this year's Mutya ng Cadiz City but not to represent the school but rather to be the candidate of another tribe.

To the Villacinians who get used to have the merrymaking by joining our tribe parade, don't worry, we'll make a good comeback in the future.

Happy Fiesta to all...let all join Dinagsa 2008!

Fun at the Teachers' Christmas Party

Vnhs Teachers as a traditition punctuated 2007 with the usual Christmas Party with 99% in attendance.

Mrs. Catherine Mendoza's prayer started the party and followed by a series of games sponsored by various academic departments. Math and Science had the ' Paint me a Picture ', TLE blew up ballooons in their ' Balloon Contest' and the Filipino Department in their intricate ' Tongue Twister'.

Mrs. Rebecca R. Rosales, noted for her careless touches, made the male teachers nervous during the ' Trip to Jerusalem with a Twist' by the Math Department. Exchanging of gifts followed.

Though we missed some familiar faces like Mrs. Baby Jean Barbas and Mr. Rogelio H. Balandra, the former school principal, Ms. Madel Facal's presence was comforting.

The teachers and staff of Villacin National High School may have their petty misunderstandings in the performance of their job, but it did not dampen their spirits in celebrating Christmas through their participation.

Kudos should also go to Mr. Jose Marie Malunhao for the 'Teachers Day' program prior to the said Christmas Party and to Mrs. Soliman Cayapado for the Eucharistic Celebration.

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

GSIS E-CARD

Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has recently upgraded its website features allowing members to view their personal record without going to the GSIS Branch Offices. It also allows members to view their policy and consolidated tentative loan computations.

Just go to their web address at www.gsis.gov.ph. The administrator of Villacin National High School Blogsite has included this post about GSIS as the school's way of extending its service to public school teachers who may have found a hard time tracking their personal records with GSIS.
